Greg Slawson and Candice Lee's latest creation is an album of piano music inspired by nature. This compilation features music by Slawson, Lee, Debussy, Rachmaninoff and Liszt. Stylistically diverse, this musical journey includes classical, jazz, electronic and meditation genres. Take a listen to the samples below to get a feel for this unique collection.

Danseuses de Delphes (full length - 3:07)

Debussy wrote two volumes of piano preludes. "Danseuses de Delphes" is the first prelude from Book One. Check out Greg Slawson's recording of this subdued, but expressive piece. This music accompanies one of GC Creative Studio's Water Films entitled, "Autumn Spirit."

Nestled in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, just outside of Banff, sits the coolest little hiking trail that traces the Heart Creek. This music is inspired by the crystal clear water and peaceful setting.

Impromptu (Nocturne) in F# Major (full length - 3:09)

Here's a beautiful piano selection by Franz Liszt. Candice Lee performs this work which begins with undulating waves of notes before building to an exciting climax. The music works really well for relaxing or as a soundtrack for natural scenery.

Venezuela’s Angel Falls, “waterfall of the deepest place”, is the world’s largest waterfall. This selection features piano, drums, bass and world percussion. Written and performed by Candice Lee.

November Day (full length - 8:34)

This piece is inspired by a warm November afternoon in New York City's Central Park. The park is a peaceful oasis, seemingly isolated from the fast pace of life that bumps up against its borders. Feel free to listen to this piano solo sample. The end of this track contains nearly 4 minutes of meditative synth, reflecting the calm mood of sitting at the edge of The Lake inside the park.

Natural Vancouver (full length - 5:05)

The Vancouver area is surrounded by unparalleled beauty. This music was inspired by the waterfalls, ferns, streams, lakes and rocks in and around the city's green belts.

Etude-tableau Op.39, No.2 in A minor (full length - 5:51)

Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Études-tableaux Op. 39, No. 2 in A minor represents “The Sea and the Seagulls," a description suggested by his wife. This is from a set of “picture pieces” which was his last major work composed before leaving Russia due to the 1917 Revolution – never to return. Performed by Candice Lee.

Check out this sample of Candice Lee performing Claude Debussy's intriguing composition that comes from his second book of "Images." Poissons d'or translates to "Goldfish." Listen to the incredible textures that emanate from the piano which create the effects of water.

The Bow Valley, located in the Canadian Rockies, is stunning in winter. This laid back piece depicts a quiet late December evening in downtown Banff. Light snow is in the process of blanketing the town and the twinkling holiday lights.

Enjoy this rendition of Rachmaninoff's classic melody for piano solo performed by Candice Lee. The arrangement is by Alan Richardson.

Pianoflow (full length - 17:15)

This piece is the title track from our CD, "Pianoflow." This composition came into being after some great hikes in the fall. The flowing water in the background comes from one of those hikes, a perfect little stream in Bedford Reservation (part of the Cleveland Metroparks). Piano and water combine with strings to create a peaceful listening experience.
